What: SEIU Local 1021 Member Convention

When: Saturday, September 28 & Sunday, September 29

As we reflect on our wins and face new fights head-on, we must come together to create a plan to champion even better workplaces, tighter communities, and a more robust economy in Northern California. SEIU 1021 members must continue to be leaders in that fight. The convention is a time to strategize, energize, and organize for the future.

Become a delegate to the SEIU 1021 Convention on September 28 and 29!

Candidates must be members in good standing and employed within a bargaining unit represented by the chapter. Each chapter gets at least two delegates who will vote and communicate convention decisions to chapter members. Delegates are elected by chapter membership. Delegates represent their chapter at the convention, communicate convention decisions to chapter members, and provide leadership in enacting the major plans and projects of the Union approved at the convention. After 300 members, each chapter will have two (2) additional delegates. For every additional one hundred fifty (150) members, a chapter will have two (2) additional delegates. Delegates represent their chapter at the convention, discuss, advise on, and ratify major plans and projects of the union during the convention, and communicate those decisions to their chapter’s members. Contact your field representative for more information.
